Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This policy explains what we collect on this website, why we collect it, and who else sees it. We kept it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
La Rumba Market is an indoor vendor market, commercial kitchen rental, and event venue in Yakima, Washington. You can reach us at 5 E Ranchrite Rd, Yakima, WA 98901, by phone at (509) 490-5777, or by email at esthercontreras149@gmail.com.
What we collect
What you type into a form
This site has three forms: a pricing request, an event booking request, and a vendor application. Depending on the form, they ask for your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, the space or rate you are interested in, the type of event and the date you want, and whatever you write in the message box.
Only your name, your email address, and a few of the choice fields are required. The phone number is optional. If you leave it blank, the form still goes through.
Please do not put sensitive personal details in the message box. We only need enough to answer your question about a booth, the kitchen, or an event.
Basic technical information
Like almost every website, ours records basic technical information when a page loads. That includes your IP address, the kind of browser and device you are using, and which page you asked for. Our web host keeps these server logs. We use them to keep the site running and to look into problems.
Your language choice
When you switch this site between English and Spanish, your browser saves that choice on your own device under the name "rumba_lang". It stays in your browser. It is not sent to us, and it does not follow you to other websites. Clearing your browser storage erases it.
Advertising and analytics trackers
This site does not run advertising trackers, analytics trackers, social media pixels, or session recording tools. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you across other websites, and nothing on this site swaps out the phone number or the content you see based on where you came from.
If that ever changes, we will update this page before turning anything on.
Spam screening on the form pages
The three pages that have a form use an automated spam screening service. It is worth understanding what this one does, because it is more active than most: it watches how you interact with the page and gives that behavior a score, and it starts as soon as the page loads, not only when you press send. That is how it tells a person apart from a bot.
That service receives your IP address, information about your browser, and those interaction signals. It also stores its own information in your browser on those pages. It runs on the pricing page, the event center page, and the vendors page. It does not run on the other pages of this site.
Who else receives information
We keep this list to the companies that actually receive something from this website. We describe each one by what it does for us.
- Our web host, which runs the site and keeps the server logs described above.
- A form delivery service, which takes what you typed into a form and passes it to our inbox.
- Our email provider, where your message lands and where we keep it while we work with you.
- An automated spam screening service on the three form pages, described in the section above.
- An embedded map service on our contact page. The map is loaded from another company, so opening that page lets them see your IP address and set their own browser storage. The address and driving directions are also written out as plain text on that page, so you never have to load the map to find us.
- A web font service, which delivers the lettering you see. Loading a font lets that company see your IP address.
- Image hosting services on our event center page. A few of the photos on that page are stock pictures loaded from other companies, which lets them see your IP address when the page opens.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if we need to protect someone from harm.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade it to anyone for advertising.
Links to our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok pages, and links that open Google Maps or Apple Maps, are ordinary links. Nothing is sent when the page loads. Once you click one, you have left our site and that company’s own privacy policy takes over.
Text messages
Every form on this site has a phone number field, and it is always optional. We will only text you about your request if you check the box on the form that asks for it. The box starts unchecked. Consent is not a condition of purchase, so you can rent a booth, rent the kitchen, or book an event without ever agreeing to texts.
If you do say yes: message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel, or reply HELP to get help. You can also just call us and tell us to stop.
Texts are sent through a messaging carrier that handles the delivery for us. Your phone number is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we have about you, ask us to fix something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Call us or email us and we will take care of it. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Because this site runs no advertising or analytics trackers, there is no ad profile here to opt out of. For the rest of the web, most browsers let you block or clear stored site data in their settings, and some let you turn on a privacy signal that tells sites not to sell or share your information.
You can read more about that signal at globalprivacycontrol.org.
How long we keep things
Form messages sit in our email inbox. We keep them while we are working with you and afterward as a record of the booking or the application. We do not have a fixed deletion schedule, so if you want yours removed, ask us and we will delete it.
Server logs and the spam screening records are kept by those services on their own schedules, which we do not control.
Keeping information safe
This site is served over an encrypted connection, so what you type into a form is encrypted while it travels. We want to be straight with you about the limits: we are a small local business, not a security company, and no way of sending information over the internet is completely safe. Please do not send us anything you would not want read over email.
Children
This website is meant for adults who want to rent a booth, rent the kitchen, or book an event. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child sent us something, call us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top. There is no archive of old versions, so the date is how you know what you are reading.
